{title} but user defined

Can i define the same tag but with my own styles?
I need to attach some style to a {title}
so i need it to be displayed in {mytitle}

in user defined the code "echo ''.$params['title'].'';" wont work.
What is the right syntax to get title?

Why not simply {title} in the used template?
