Problem with news module in default template

Post by JonathanS »

Hi. I am trying to build my first website and have uploaded CMSMS 1.2.4.

I am using the default left-simple-navigation-plus-1-column template. That calls the news module with {news number='3' detailpage='news'}. Well, the news summary is showing up fine, but none of the links are working - when I click on them I get a 404 error.

The module is working properly on another page in the site. My hosting provider required me not to load the cmsmadesimple folder in root, so the folder structure is /httpdocs/cmsmadesimple, but I can't see how that would cause a problem.

Any ideas? Many thanks.

There is an active page with the alias "News"? As that is where you want the details to be shown....

Hi RonnyK, many thanks. I took out the 'news' bit and all now working great. (Strange that that part of the code is in the default template and it seems to work there, but ...)
