[SOLVED] Newsletter : how to send ?

Post by DeMZed »

Hi !
I've installed CMS Made Simple Newsletter, but I do not understand how to send the newsletter.

When I click on "Send", it reloads the same page without sending it. Also, it does not record it...

thanks for your lights !

I guess you are speaking about NMS Newsletter Made Simple 2.1
When I click on "Send"
As far as I remember there is no send link or button
Select the NMS module : Extension ---> Newsletter Made Simple

At first setup the preferences ----> Preferences tab

Then create a List ---> Lists tab
At this point  you can either

1) subscribe with your email address from the website
2) You should receive a confirmation link
3) click on the link to confirm the subscription

or

insert a user from the admin interface

Now you are ready to experiment.
If you follow the steps from the website side this allow you to verify that NMS is installed properly and that it can send email.

Anyway the next step is to compose a message ---> Message tab
After you composed a message you must create a job -----> Jobs tab
Chose the message, chose the list(s), give a name to the job and submit it
Now just click on the link "process job" at the bottom of the jobs list -----> Jobs tab
Wait until it finish to send the emails.
