[SOLVED] Meta-Tags for keywords & description in News

Has anyone ever tried to put some meta-information using fields in news-module into the template? There are a few workarounds for title around here, but I kept wondering if it was possible to do this in any way.

Well, you can do the same thing with keywords and description
it'd just take a bit more smarty logic, and some custom fields in News.

It's ugly, but it can be done.

There'll be a solution for this in 2.0

That is good news. Both - the hint (could have thought of it on my own) and the changes in 2.0 --- I am really curious what 2.0 will be like.

Thank you for your help. If I get it working I will post my solution here ... maybe I am able to figure out some smart solution.

I just found this plugin by doing some searching around the smarty site.

It's similar to what we're doing in 2.0

and should solve the problem for you.  It's a nice, elegant solution.
