Hit Counter for CMS?

Talk about writing modules and plugins for CMS Made Simple, or about specific core functionality. This board is for PHP programmers that are contributing to CMSMS not for site developers

Well, there are two excellent modules in the Forge:

Statistics - which gives a lot of info on visitors
Visitor Stats - which shows who visited, from where and what pages they viewed.

There is also a HitCounter module, if you're looking to display something.

Personally, I don't ever believe those anyway, so I see very little use for them. The problem is that when you're just starting, the number is so low and you don't really want anyone to know that, unless you artificially inflate it (which makes it meaningless). Once you've gained popularity, you don't really need it to show, anyway.

Just my thoughts.
