I have several small Dreamweaver church sites that need to have non developer access to certain container pages to add sermon audio and probably video, sermon text, text messages- perhaps blogs, calendars, etc. I know nothing about CMS systems at this point but want to add these hooks to the site code. Can it be implemented with Dreamweaver?
Thanks for the input.
Is this the way to go?
Re: Is this the way to go?
Dick, you will end up needing to build the whole site into CMSMS from your existing site. You would have to rebuild the templates to work with the CMSMS template system.
I know this isn't really promoting CMSMS, but have you looked into Macromedia Generator if you're sites are already on Dreamweaver templates?

If all else fails, use a bigger hammer.

Dick,
What do you want to know? If you can have a non developer update information on a CMS Made Simple website? The answer is Yes, but tyman00 is right: you have to learn CMSMS and build the site with CMSMS.
Can it be done with dreamweaver? Please, don't ask that here but in in a dreamweaver related forum.

Thanks for the input, folks. I was afraid of that. I guess the only way of using this program would be to link to a sub web in CMSMS and put all my CMS content there. The dreamweaver sites are pretty complex to start over. I'll check Micromedia Generator and see what I can find about that. If the sub web idea will work, that may be an option because the Modules I'd need to add are essentially just content containers with the text and media pages.
