NMS-No messages sent or received? [solved]

I have installed NMS 1.0.3 and have configured everything as per instructions

I have tested the mail function through CMS Mailer and I receive the test message.

I create a Newsletter and create/process a job but no message is ever received by the subscriber (me in this case for testing purposes). Has anyone else had this problem. I would like to know if its just my set up or is this a buggy module. I chose CMSMS because it had a simple Newsletter module but if it doesn't work I'll have to scrap the whole thing and try another CMS.

I have tried putting SPAM LOW as the subject, changing the charset, sending a text only message but nothing works. I'm on a shared server, would this be an issue?

Any comments would be welcome as I have tried everything possible so far. Thanks,

You could try text message (no html) and see if that works. If it does work there might be something wrong in your html template.
You could also try changing the outgoing server type even if your test message works.

I changed the outgoing server type to mail and it works great. Many thanks. I presumed that if the mail server was SMTP then that's what should go in the parameters of CMS Mailer. I wonder why it's different but then again now that it works I don't care. Thanks for restoring my confidence in this CMS. I was loving it up until I started tearing my hair out over the last week.

I look forward to many more CMSMS sites that I will build. If there was an online pub I'd buy you plenty of pints to show my gratitude!!

Beer... yes...

Good that it worked. I had similar situation not so long time ago which was also solved by using "mail".

Have fun with CMSms and do not forget to change the subject of first post [solved].
