After Installation: ERROR: The CGExtensions module could not be found.

Help with getting the CMS CORE package up and running. This does not include 3rd party modules, PHP scripts, anything downloaded via module manager or from any external source.

After Installation: ERROR: The CGExtensions module could not be found.

Post by d3l0n »

Hi,

I've just installed CMS 1.2.3, after the installation completed I tried to install modules (Flvplayer 1.0.2) using modules manager, but I got this error:

ERROR: The CGExtensions module could not be found.

I downloaded the module I want and used extensions--modules to upload it, but got the same error.

Can someone please help me know why I'm getting this error after a fresh installation? And how I can solve it?

Thank you,

More info- OS:Windows Vista, php 5.2.5, mysql 5.0.45, apache, 2.2.6

the module you are trying to use has a dependency on CGExtensions.

first remove the installed module. and install CGExtensions (either from the module manager or upload and install)

then proceed to install new module (in this case Flvplayer)

Thanks cubix for getting back to me, I didn't install FLVplayer yet. Is there anything else I should do?

Thanks again,

I, too, get the error message CGExtensions module could not be found. But when looking for the CGExtensions module in module manager, it says 'incompatible' so i can't install it ... any1 know what i can do about that?  :(

Sounds like you're trying to install a version of CGExtensions that's either too new or too old for the Core version you're using.

What version of CMSMS are you running and what version of CGExtensions are you trying to install?
