Database Change question

This being my first post I would like to say I really like CMSMS.

I have just created a new site for a customer and for the first time I used CMS Made Simple and did some customization work and I must say it was a breeze.  Keep up the Good Work !!!

I did have a quick question also... The site I'm creating needs the ability to have somewhat large pages ( table of results with about 500 rows ) and the first time around I tried to create this content page it cut off most of it. 

The change I made to the Database was making content_props - > content field type to longtext ( vs just a text )

Anyone for see any problems with this ??

I would like to thank ikmyer for posting the actual instructions on how to do this here and tell nullig that the solution may have been suggested in several postings on this forum, but no one in this forum either cares to or bothers to explain the solution in a clear concise way or offers to explain the solution to people who may not be as advanced as they are.

Remember people we are all trying to learn here.  I love CMSMS but I really really dislike the help offered in the forums, one word answers don't cut it!

Me too, I learn here every day by reading the posts others made. But in this case I think Nullig gave a proper answer. Topicstarter asked if a modification he made to a specific field in a specific table in the database may give a problem. Does that mean somebody has to explain how you can startup your computer. Where to start? 
If you need more information, what's wrong with adding a related question to this topic?

The OP stated that he had already accomplished what he wanted to do, so there was really no reason for Nullig (or anyone else) to dive into a full-scale explanation of how to do it.

1.) This topic was started and answered long before you registered on the forum, why dig it up now and complain about it... especially since it was answered and taken care of.

2.) We are glad to help, but we aren't here to hold your hand. If you get "one word" answers it's because we know you didn't do your homework because the question is discussed to death on the forum and a little search would have returned numerous results. That or so little information was given that we can't proceed without asking more and more questions. If you give us too little information to work with, why shouldn't we?
