Just a quick question, am I going to have any trouble upgrading from 1.06 to the newest version. I know I should upgrade more often but I often don't have time.

You should not have any problems. But did you alter any files from the installation? Or made some specific change to the CSS?
Then the best thing for you to do is backup the current website and database.
Take in consideration that there are new modules to. Check them before you upgrade.
Then upgrade and when it doesn't work you can put the backup back.
Then you could (if you have the time) do a clean install of the latest version and try to only upload the data to the database.
