Suggestions for Calendar module

Having just finished setting up a community website on CMSMS from scratch, I have a few suggestions for things I'd like to see in the Calendar module.  A key portion of the site is the calendar of upcoming events, so a robust calendar feature is a good thing with me.

On the event entry page, it would be great if there were a little bit of javascript on the page that would adjust the end date/time fields when the user adjusts the start date/time.  That would cut down on the amount of mousing and streamline event entry.

On the event list page, a "Clone" entry would be useful.  This would be great for entering something like monthly events, where everything is basically the same from one event to the next, but something like the description field (like a guest speaker) needs to be different.

It would be great if you could set a reminder for xxx days before an event, and the Calendar module would invoke a CMSMS event that we could attach to an action. I could use that to automatically email reminders to my site mailing list.

The News module can serve up its list of articles as an RSS feed.  It would be equally useful if Calendar could do the same.

Is there an easy way to create a link to an event?  There doesn't seem to be a way to do this with the cms_selflink tag.  Instead, I visit the event, then copy/paste the URL as a plain HTML link into my page source.  It would be cool to have a Smarty tag that generates links to events.

Finally, I tried using the feature to import events from CSV and it didn't work well at all.  Even following the advice on the Wiki and carefully checking the format of the CSV file, all of the events imported with a date of Dec. 31, 1969 and I had to manually update each one.  So it didn't save me much time.

I'm using CMSMS 1.2.3 with Calendar module 0.7.11.

Thanks for clueing me in on "standard procedure".  I'll do that now.


Just did that.  The request for RSS feed was already there, but my other requests were new.  I didn't submit the bug with the import feature, since everyone knows its a work-in-progress.
