My first... well... it was for retired people so it had to be more simple so... not showing that one... this one is still being developed but I'm getting there...

and im assuming your going to be changing the two 'food' images on the main page (with the istockphoto watermark)

Are you using transparency for the shadow of the main frame?

yes... saved image as .png which works great with most browsers except older IE but... they can upgrade

As for me - I prefer to include "next page" link and breadcrumbs because this type of menu
dont show you what page is active. But that's IMHO

mmhhh adding the breadcrumbs back might not be bad... i just dont like the previous/next links... i still need to fix some pages' CSS.
