NMS newsletter made simple "Change your preferences" error

The default newlsetter sent has a "Change your preferences" link. this link goes to a page that says:

Error!
Database error

This is going to mact=NMS, so I assume I have to create a page just for NMN?

Is it possible to make it go to frontend user setting page instead? Since I'm using FEU, the unsubscribe also doesn't seem to really work although it goes through the process. How will admin know someone unsubscribed - can an email be sent to admin?
