New install. Why 2 MySQL options?

I am using CMSMS on yet another site .

I have only just noticed the 2 MySQL options on install. I have version 5 of MySQL. Do I use MySQL or MySQL 4.1+?

But whats the 4.1+ option for? And what is the MySQL normal for?

I have installed numerous sites with just the normal MySQL option. I am just curious.
