Search Frontend User Listing based on Fields

1. Is there a way to search Frontend user listing fields in the frontend? Say you have fields like name, address, school. Other users can then search based on any of the fields.

2. If selfregistration is used and user select "do not want other members to contact me". Is there a way to not have their email displayed in Frontend User Listing?

3. If selfregistration is used and user select they do not want to receive newsletter, what is the best way to go about that. Is it to create another group called "no newsletter" and just import them into the NMS module?
