difference in display menu in FF and IE

difference in display menu in FF and IE

Take a look at this page. The menu in IE appears with no space above it but in FF there is some space. I tried all kinds of things to get rid if it but with no good results.

Any help will be appreciated very much.

Also there is another problem with the menu. In IE6 there is an extra space between the pictures of the menu because the selflink adds an extra space before the end tag . If anyone knows how to get rid of that, that would be great too.
