I installed TinyMCE basic but the toolbar does not show up on top of the content area. Previously I used XStandard which I uninstalled and removed before installing Tiny.
Any ideas?
TinyMCE toolbar does not show up Topic is solved
Re: TinyMCE toolbar does not show up
I am using CMS 1.2.3 Black Rock and HAD been using TinyMCE 2.2.? with no problems but I saw that in the modules updates there was a TinyMCE 2.4.0a1 and upgraded to that but now I have no toolbar and even using the prefences to set the WYSIWYG to be checked or unchecked makes no difference. Now I don't see how to get the OLD version of TinyMCE back since it is not listed in the modules. I may have to revert back to FCKEditor I guess. I guess I should have had a moment where I realized that a1 might stand for an "alpha" version of TinyMCE, but I guess I just thought it would be ok to use that module. If anybody has any ideas on how I might get TinyMCE to work again or go back to my old version, I would really appreciate it.
Re: TinyMCE toolbar does not show up
I did manage to [resolve] my problem for TinyMCE toolbar by going to the modules section on CMS website and downloading 2.2.7 xml and replacing it with what I had installed on my site. There must be a problem of sorts with 2.4.0a1 because I tried that xml file again and it would not work. I could not also download 2.2.8 as I would get an error on the project page when attempting to get to it. I can post the entire process I used if requested, but it was fairly straight forward. Anyway, I do now have the toolbar back and seems to be working ok.
Re: TinyMCE toolbar does not show up
Trying to fix mine as well. I would appreciate more details I was able to find and download that xml file just fine, but I can't figure out which file to replace. If you could provide the path and filename, I would appreciate it.skrag wrote:I can post the entire process I used if requested, but it was fairly straight forward. Re: TinyMCE toolbar does not show up
Hello,
CMSms 1.2.4 installs TinyMCE Basic 2.2.7 and they work well together (toolbars...). If you want to upgrade a module, backup before (files+db) to be able to restore the previous working state.
