Search Company Directory... looking for categories

Hi, I'm trying to make a Physicians Databse using the Company Directory module.  I was wondering how I'd go about setting it up so that if you were to say, search a field, such as Optometry or Neurology, that it would bring up the catagory listings from the Company Directory.  If anyone could help, I'd be greatful.

Companydirectory doesn't currently support search on  'custom fields'.

I was also wondering, how would I go about putting the category to display in the search results page by say, the name.  Something like.

Name: Dr. Test
Category: Optometry

Something like that.  I just don't know how to put it to the summary page.

This may not be exactly what you are looking for, but the "Search" module does allow the ability to search only specific modules. To just search the Company Directory the code would be:
