Styleswitcher

Post by TNTH »

Hi all,

I'm desperately trying to install a styleswitcher into my cmsms installation. But I can't get one working correctly. I've tried the styleswitcher from the dev.cmsms.org, but this one does not work. I tried several others which were build with php, but either my templates screw up, or my stylesheets won't load.

Is there anyone out there who tried to use a styleswitcher into his website using cmsms and no javascript. If so, could you please help me out? I can't believe that I'm the only one trying to get this working.

Thanks in advance!

Check out the TemplateManager module.

It has the ability to select primary and alternate stylesheets..... so that you can select between them with the mozilla style switcher thing..... or it provides a javascript form for putting in your website.

Thanks for the tip calguy,

I updated my installation of CMSMS to 1.1.4.1 and installed templatemanager after this. All seems to be fine, but it doesn't seem to work. I did what was told me in the help-file:
- replaced my stylesheet-code, replaced my bodytag with the code from the templatemanager and added the form;
- I added the stylesheets to the template, added a preferred stylesheet and an alternative.;
- I see a switcher on my page, but this one doesn't work.

Problems I am having right now:
- stylesheets seems not te be loaded;
- I am not getting a cookie;
- thus, the switcher doesn't work.

Could anyone please help me with this? You can take a look at http://www.hsandhf.org/index.php?page=test (it's in Dutch)

Cheers,

TNTH,

Does it help if you set the template for the site to a default delivered one (since the current one seems to be showing the simple version)?

Are all pages behaving the same way?
What if you remove some of the modules in the content as maybe one of them is causing problems. The other way around is of course also possible: start with a clean version and enter each module in the content or menu and once it works properly, start with the next one.
