Calendar Issues and Restoring Backup

HELP!! I attempted to upgrade the Calendar module 1.76 to 1.79, which didn't work and messed up everything so, I downgraded back to 1.76, copied back over all of my customized templates and files and then restored my backup but ALL of my calendar event data is not showing!! I opened my sql backup to make sure the data was actually backed up and indeed it is there but I cannot get anything to restore. I tried adding a new event and that won't even show. SOOO, anyone with any help it would be greatly appreciated because right now, none of the event data shows on the website nor the backend and I need to get this fixed ASAP! I was thinking that perhaps I should try nuking the calendar_event_table and re-creating it but I'm afraid this might screw it up more...HELP!!
