I have a new install of CMS v1.2 -- and when i go to FileManager -- i don't see the option to upload files -- i click on the tab upload files and it says uploading... but on that page there is no browse button to select a file to upload or send button, etc.
The permissions on the upload folder are 777 and the admin group has all permissions including advanced file manager.

Hello,
You might try downloading this to your modules folder:
http://dev.cmsmadesimple.org/projects/kfm
(KFM File Manager).
Then unpack it and goto: admin panel > modules & click the install link for it.
When you're done, make sure it has a green X in it's row to indicate it's active.
Of coures you'll want to make sure that the folder and all it's subfolders have correct permissions
after you unpack it.
While it won't fix your current File Manager problem. How it works, or doesn't work, may help
provide some clues as to why the current File Manager isn't working.
In the worst case scenario, you'll hopefully at least have one that works.
I would still suspect a permission problem though.
