SelfRegistration module setup?

Post by pparadis »

Hi all! I am running CMS Made Simple 1.2 on Debian 4.0 (Etch) under ISPConfig for virtual servers. I've installed the FrontEndUsers 1.2.0 and SelfRegistration 1.1.1 modules. I'm having trouble getting SelfRegistration working properly (actuall, at all).

This is the code I have embedded in my "Sign Up Now" page:
{cms_module module=SelfRegistration group=Volunteers}
I created a group called "Volunteers" in CMSMS, but I don't understand what's meant by the following instructions (quoted from the description page for the SelfRegistration module):
In order to use this module, you must create a property of type "Email Address" in the FrontendUsers module, and associate that property with the group to be used for self registration.
I'm new to CMS Made Simple, and appreciate your help. Thank you!
