Tinymce, editor and module manager not working

Help with getting the CMS CORE package up and running. This does not include 3rd party modules, PHP scripts, anything downloaded via module manager or from any external source.

Tinymce, editor and module manager not working

Post by cloudy »

Hi,

I installed CMSMS 1.4.1 version on a new server and the tinymce editor is not working. In user preference this is the one chosen for editing purpose but my editor shows the html code.

I tried to use module manager for installing FCKeditor but module manager does not show any module for installation.

The same set up file for CMSMS 1.4.1 I used on different server and it worked fine.  But the new server is giving me trouble.

Is there any server setting that need to be changed for this?

Please help me out.

Thanks in advance

Hi Cloudy,

Please check the ftp server error log. I had faced this issue earlier. This problem is concerned with the rights assigned to the tinyMCE folder under modules.

If you check in the ftp log it would show some kind of an error stating file xyz.js should not be in 777 perms.

For me, I changed the folder perms to 755 and it was all set.

Hope this helps.

Thanks,
