Help with getting the CMS CORE package up and running. This does not include 3rd party modules, PHP scripts, anything downloaded via module manager or from any external source.

SOLVED "checking if sessions are enabled" - yellow card...

Post by Eskymo »

Hi there

I'm installing CMSMS for the first time today and have followed the installation instructions upto point 7. I have set up a MySQL 4 Database. I then typed in the url of the directory where I placed my files into a browser and step 1 of the install ran...lots of green ticks apart from one yellow card about sessions...this is the message I got:
Checking if sessions are enabled

Although the PHP support for sessions is not mandatory, it is highly recommended. Logins and other things may slow down and you may have difficulty with some addon functionality without this capability.
I have no idea what this means and whether I should try and rectify it before going ahead...any advice on how to rectify this would be great. I have access to myphpadmin for he database, but can't find anything about sessions there.

Any help much appreciated.

SOLVED - I ran the test again and got green ticks all the way down so continued...

Thanks
E
