problem with album module en file permission.[semi/solved]

Hi, ive been using cmsms and all worked fine installed it about 6 months ago. Now since about a week the albums went funny as in al showing X (like picture path is incorrect or picture is deleted) when accessing the pictures directly it said access denied.

Zo i check the chmod of all files they where all screwy (640) zo i reset al the right to 755 and the required dirs to 777 (upload etc) al worked fine again but one problem remains when uploading a image it now will upload it and write it with permission: 640

I also try't to use the filemanager module but that install also got screwy with permissions set to 640.

with will not allow it to be seen publicly

So i am at a los here.

Any one any idea's maybe my file permissions are incorrect ?

any help would be appreciated.

Do you have umask set to 002 in Global Settings? That should give permissions to created file that others should be able to see (f.e. the created thumbnails)

That fixed it thanks it was set to 022 ?

Any idea's how this might have happend the site interface (admin was only used to upload photo's).
