Step 4 Successfully Completed But CGI Timeout After Continue Button

Post by fchintc »

Hi,

I am installing CMS Made Simple 1.1.4.1 in a Windows hosted account running IIS. Everything runs fine up to step 4 and after I click the Continue button to go to step 5, it times out with a CGI error. What do I do now?

The files are kept in my web site of http://www.ctsoftware.com.my/cmsmadesimple. Is this correct?

Also, I received an e-mail that asks me to:

Log into the site admin here: http://www.ctsoftware.com.my/cmsmadesimple/admin/

but I get the following error in my Firefox browser:-

Directory Listing Denied
This Virtual Directory does not allow contents to be listed.

Please help!

Thanks.

I have managed to solve the problems myself.

1.  The CGI timeout error has not seem to have affected the installation of CMSMS and can be ignored.
2.  The "Directory Listing" error can be solved by doing the following in your hosting panel:-

a.  Select Web Options.
b.  Enable Directory Indexes.
c.  Enter "index.php index.html" (without quotes) within the edit box.
d.  Save the changes.
