Revised Quote module and shopping cart - now considering Joomla

Hi

Two Questions.

I need a quote module and a shopping cart with a checkout and credit card facilities etc.
For the quote part  I suppose I could adapt the CMSMS module shopping cart so it just comes up with a total in the cart and I disable the chechout  part. In another part of the site there would be the full shopping cart. In effect I'd have two shopping carts. Could I run this setup under one shopping cart or would I have to install two separate ones?

The shopping carts that come with CMS Made Simple are pretty basic. Do you see any problem running a stand alone Quote system and shopping cart using separate databases to CMSMS that just link to my CMSMS site by URL?

I'm starting to wonder that maybe CMSMS cant do what I need and while I really like it and will use it in the future, there maybe a time when it would be necessary to use something like Joomla for the heavier duty sites requiring more features
