Suggestion for the News module

I have a suggestion for the News module.  Why am I forced to add a full length text to a news entry?  For certain entries, I would like to only add a summary that shows up on the main page, and see no "more" link for the article.

Leave the summary empty and just fill in the full length text.

However...  there is a bug with tinymce filling in a in the summary field if you leave it empty.  This is fixed in svn, but for a workaround, you might want to turn off the WYSIWYG when entering News articles.
