FormBuilder : how to specify where email form gets sent?

Post by WebGirl »

Hi there,

I know this is probably a very simple thing to fix, but can anywhere tell me where oh where I type in the email name that all Form Builder emails will be sent to?

I've gone through the Help, the forums, for hours ... and I just can't work it out.

It must be sooooo simple ... where is it??

I added a field to the form which I thought meant all emails would be sent to this one, but it doesn't work:
Form Handling Inputs (Dispositions)

* *Email Results to set Address(es). This simply sends the form results to one or more email addresses that you enter when you create or edit this type of field. This field and its name are not visible in the form that the user sees. The email addresses are not made visible nor are they embedded in the HTML.
Any assistance at all will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

That's the right form element to add. Are you sure that your mailer is working?

Took me a while to troll through the forums to see what you meant by that :-) and now I know.

I clicked on CMSMailer in the Extensions list, and saw there was a Smarty error.

So on my server I had a look at the contents of CMSMailer [inside the Modules folder] and compared it to the download I did.  Oops - not all the files were copied  :-[

So I uploaded the rest of the files, and now the form works, it gives me the right info after 'sending' ... BUT ... no email ever arrives.

So I played in CMSMailer, and I am not sure if I have all the settings right.

I don't know if they have to MATCH the mailto name in the form, assuming I might add several forms and wish to send Results to different people who may not use the same domain name in their email name.

So - I'm much closer than yesterday - but still stuck.

My question now is - HOW do I make sure the emails are sent to me - and WHAT are the right settings for CMSMailer module?

Any assistance greatly appreciated :-)

PS - I HIGHLY RECOMMEND using the pres-set Contact forms - that would have saved me quite a few hours :) - d'oh
