Help with news styles

Post by avon_g »

still a cms newbie but i cant belive how great CMSMS is...im loving it.

I'm trying out some news pages at the moment. I have a news menu
on my home page that ive created a new Summary Template and made
it default to remove the catagory, author and sumarysumary from the
news list...
Ive added some news catagorys to have seperate news pages but
they use the same Summary Template by default so are then missing
the parts i removed!

I cant see an option to assign different Summary Templates to different
News catagories?

TIA

Your call for the news module would be:

Code: Select all

{news summarytemplate="yourtemplate.tpl"}

Hi Everyone,

The problem I am having is I want the news module only to display the summary.... e.g http://www.avongraphics.co.uk which I have.

The problem arises when I go to my news page... http://www.avongraphics.co.uk/cms/index.php?page=news-2

in the news box, the main text is showing. within the news module on the left hand side.

Is there anyway I can show the full article on the news page, but not in the news box!

Hope i've explained that well enough!

Jay
