Is anyone aware of a Document Management module with upload and edit capability for CMS Made Simple? I am creating our Company's intranet site, and need something searchable with categories and keywords that can integrate into the script, so I can assign rights to the groups for uploading documents. I did not see anyting like this in the modules repository.
Is there an existing module like this, or can I modify another module (possibly a gallery) to accomplish this. I know PHP (although not an expert), so if modification is my best option, it's not a problem.
I just want to find out where to begin, before I spend a lot of time working on something that may already be out there.
Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Check out the uploads modulee. It doesn't do file editing, but it does file management.
