I*m running CMS Made Simple 1.1.1 - (MySQL) - Modul Blogs 0.2.2
If I try to write new content, I get following message:

Blogs is a non core module. I suggest you try posting an entry in the bug tracker for that module, or if that doesn't work getting in touch with the author of the module.

Have you checked Users & Groups > Group Permissions > admin for any un checked boxes?...
