I am currently using the CMSMS 1.0.7 Kahlowee for creating a site for my mothers school, and am having a bit of a trouble. The thing is that I have built the site on my mac using Dreamweaver and Firefox. Now the templates and stylesheets are done, most of the content is in, and its pretty much done. The thing is that I am having trouble viewing the admin-interface from PCs using IE 6.0 +. I have tried on Win XP prof. and Vista with IE 6.0 and newer, but nothing helps. On IE 6.0 I get an error on page, and within some seconds the application closes. With the newest version of IE it doesn't close, but it shows that I have an error on page. When I am supposed to edit a page with content, all I get is "null" as content. Does anyone know where the problem is? I have tried to shred out unneccesary code from my layout and stylesheets, but nothing helps.
My father is running 1.1.0 on his server, and it is showing OK in IE. Do I have to upgrade? How do I do it when I upgrade a page with existing content, layout, users, groups etc. ? I am anyway going to take a backup of all my code and files on the server, but it would be nice not to have to load it all in again.... I know I am not to delete all content of my MySQL database when updating, but will anything of my preferences, users, etc. be affected by the change?
Hope someone would answer this as fast as possible...
Sincerily

Re: Problem with admin-interface on IE 6.0+
Hello Knut,
IE6 can not be used for the admin interface. IE6 is not a supported admin browser. If you have troubles with IE7 as admin browser, you can use Firefox instead.
You may find this howto usefull to migrate a "Dreamweaver site".
You should always run the current official stable release, hence upgrade.
Search these forums for "backup procedure" and "upgrading".
And you can "reinstall" (rerun the installation wizard) without creating the database tables/objects.
