Newsletter Made Simple not processing jobs [SOLVED]

Hi

I'm having a problem with Newsletter Made Simple (NMS)

I am using the following software:

mySQL version 4.1.22-standard
PHP version 4.4.6

CMSMS version 1.0.2
Newsletter Made Simple version 1.0.2 and it's a dependant of ...
CMSMailer version 1.73.10

I have set up NMS and everything seems to be okay but it does not appear able to process a job. When "Process a Job" is selected I am taken to a new window with the message below:

Keep this window open till all messages have been sent.

Sending the next batch of 50 emails; starting at: 0

Processing Job: Job created at: 08/30/07 01:35:32

Processing records 0 to 1

********************

But the process is never finished.

Within the Process Job control panel the jobs status is listed as: Not Started.

I guess I'm missing something, would be grateful if someone could point me towards my error.

On another note: this is the first time I've dedicated time to CMSMS and I have to say; what a cool tool. Many thanks to the developers. It's easy to use for both a web designers/developers and a non-technical site owners perspectives. Thank you.

Update your CMSMS for security concern

CMSMailer version 1.73.10

Have you done a test for sending mail (in CMSMailer admin)?
NMS use CMSMailer for sending.

Yes, I did the test for Mailer and it worked fine.

Any thoughts.

I also have a problem.

My CMSmailer module works en i get al test mails.
But when i test NMS al systems are go i even get a message that the mail is send but i don't receive the mail in my mailbox.

I think i am overlooking something but don't know what. I followed the instructions in the info page step by step but no result.
Can anybody help.

Is there a Dutch translation that i can install?

I have just installed NMS 1.0.2 on CMSMS 1.2 and have virtually the same problem as Josette, with NMS failing to send outgoing mail. CMSMailer work fine both for tests and when sending NMS subscription emails.

I have identified that plain text emails work OK but none of the default HTML email formats will work, including 'None (HTML message)'  - I get the same unfinished process messages as Josette.

Reading the postings I'm not certain the problem was solved for Josette - in her last post she confirms that CMSMailer works fine - not NMS.

Any suggestions? Permission problems maybe??
