News from 1.1.1 has no templates

I upgraded a site to 1.1.1 and now the News has no template, error on home page...
string(67) "Smarty error: unable to read resource: "module_db_tpl:News;summary""

Of course I know how to fix this but others may not...

Go to Content » News and click Reset to Factory Defaults... oops that's not it, I know but others might think it would work...
even clicking Submit won't do it...

So to get it to work you need to Reset to Factory Defaults so you get the code to show then you click Create A New Template and it will have the defaults, name it and submit...

Then you have to click the big red X to make it active...

Not real intuitive for some, I almost missed that even w/o any extra templates the first one wasn't auto checked to be default...

I like the new way to put templates into news w/o having to FTP the to modules/News/templates, and 1.1.1 has this correct in the Help...

I have the same error and tried to solve it the way you said here in this topic, only way is, it does not work on my site.

Could you be so kind to help me solve this please?

solved.

just install news module, and remove all files in the module panel, then reinstall version 2.5.

problem solved.
