cms install successful - site nor admin showing

Hi, my stats are Ubuntu Hoary 5.0.4, mysql 4.1 and php4.
The following works without a hitch on the machine:
- installation of cmsmadesimple 0.10
- phpmyadmin.
I can query the database in phpmyadmin and do all sorts of things (drop/create).
But everytime I try calling anything in the cmsmadesimple directory it seems like it wants to start parsing but then I get an empty/blank page. Both in the admin dir as in the homedir. Looking at the source of the page also doesn't help ==> blank. So no errors and yet still no content.

Can anyone help?

I think there is a bug with the 0.10 installer.  Other people have complained about this too.  It says that the install was successful, but it's not.  I put some more checks into it, so hopefully this doesn't come up again.  I would try a reinstall...
