Problems with IE 6 & lower

Post by biliousfrog »

I've just completed my new site based on the nichess theme. The problem I've got is that it seriously screws up in anything below IE7. It's perfect in Firefox, a bit "iffy" in IE7 but IE6 & lower is terrible.

Has anyone got an idea on how to fix this?

the site is www.eggboxstudios.co.uk/index.php

thanks :)

BTW, I've been testing with http://tredosoft.com/Multiple_IE ...great little tool ;)

[EDIT] I've reverted back to the html site until I get a fix for this so I've changed the link to index.php

try changing this line, you have a diff. first div....

#bgcontainer {width:expression(P7_MinMaxW(720,800));}

no, not a thing :'(

I think that I'll just modify a standard template as most of my clients will be using old PC's & will probably be using IE 5+ & 6. I can't really risk having something that unpredictable & I don't yet know enough about coding to find problems.

I'll send a message to the original author in case they haven't tested it on IE6
