New installation correcteness not verified

Hi,

just one remark: it just happened to me that a CMSMS v1.1 was installed and the installer seemed to claim everything is OK. But the Module Manager didn't want to work. The thing is that I was making a cup of coffee during the time the files were FTPed to the server and only a half of the modules were realy uploaded; not the rest (nuSoap, ...). My error but the installer would verify whether everything is OK. Just in case...

everybody can make a cup of coffee while uploading CMSms : it only requires to check FTP logs are OK.

BTW : remember the SSH install should be more reliable.

Sure, I was supposed to check, I know. What I wanted to say is that it would be nice to have a little red light that would appear if there is something wrong. Cars have such things since ever, you don't go to check the level of the brake fluid, do you?

Yes, I agree with you. I would like even more : I'd like the installer to generate a log that people could post here when asking for installation help. It would provide exhaustive usefull information, starting by package integrity checks, then OS, webserver, flags, etc.
