New CMS Site - Church site - my first ever website

Hi All

This is the first site I have ever built - I don't know any php and only really basic html, but I love CMSMS as it meant I could do something as complicated as this from scratch

I'd love any feedback and comments - nothing too technical though

2 cents:

You might want to tone down the blue bar on top a bit, the color is rather aggressive.
Many designers consider lens flares an absolute no-no because it has been overused a lot.

I really do like the left menu.
Nice work for a first try.

Thanks for the comments. I will have a look at the blue bar - it has been used as our logo in printed material so might take a bit of persuasion to get it changed!
Can't take much credit for the menu - those are Andreas Viklund's from the Andreas 01 template - as is the look and feel of most of the site. That is the beauty of CMS!
