Remote Database

Hey all, I've been working with CMSMadeSimle for only about a month, and it is great. I have migrated some of my databases to a remote db and get intermitent errors ranging from blank pages errors with weird charachters in them and other assorted content submission failures etc.. Does anyone have any insight on this topic.

Hello,

how "remote" is your database server ? What is the network between the PHP engine and the SQL engine ? What is its quality of service ? bandwith, latency, reliability, timeouts...
I hope the db traffic doesn't transit on the public Internet via an old phone modem
