file/folder attributes - /tmp/cache is not writable, exiting

When trying to install CMSMS I get the error message /tmp/cache is not writable, exiting and similar messages.

How should the settings be for these files and folders?

You have to set permission for this folders before installing. Go to your ftp program and set it to 777 (or CHMOD 777).

just as the doc states it should.
Please tell what isn't understandable in it so it can be improved for everybody.
