menu problem in IE 7

Hi,
the vertical css menu with more levels does not work in IE 7. In the stylesheet the '#primary-nav a { ... }' the 'display: block;' line seems to cause IE 7 to make a small space between menu elements, and therefore the menu disappears, before getting a chance to click the wished menu item.
I certainly would like to have that IE 7 bug fixed. Please, could someone tell me how!
