docs people can use
docs people can use
I have been planning to prepare a generic doc... but two months have now passed....
I have a zip file of client instructions ( 8mb)
Some of the instructions have used parts I found on the cms site but some are exclusive to the way they are built. I think
people can root through and make use of parts of them.
Where exactly do I upload.. who do I give it to.. ?
I can't just attach as it is too big..

I don't have time to update them ...but think they may be of use..

If I find time.. yes.. A lot of it is not generic enough to do this as it stands.... if others want to dive in.. go ahead...
Or if someone wants to approve any sections then I will make time to do this..

Re: docs people can use
@Pierre M. - The wiki is great. But, when I create a web site for a client, I like to give them instructions, often printed. I want the docs to appear to come from me and my company. Afterall, they are hiring *me* to create their site. They generally don't care what technology I use to create their site. But, they are buying me and my support as part of the whole package. And a public wiki is just not suitable for that. (Now, if I could "private label" it so it looks like it's coming from me...)
@Raquel - Thanks for working on these. Could they be converted to Google Docs so that we could all share in the maintenance of them?

Re: docs people can use
I just found and download these docs and would like to thank you Raquel. They are very well written and documented with images. Thank you for your effort!
Now I will translate and adapt it to Brazilian-Portuguese to help my clients.
Thank you again.

Hi Raquel,
Yes! These docs are great!
I can guess how long it must have taken you to write them up! Writing documentation is very tedious
Is it ok to use them for clients, and what kind of recognition would you like on them?
Thanks,
Anthony

We are phasing out this hosting.
http://www.storestuff.dreamhosters.com/cmsdocs/
So the above resource has moved
The document links can now be found on
http://www.clooti.co.uk/index.php?page=cms-made-simple
cheers
