Problem with hitcounter plugin

I am using the hitcounter plugin, but it puts heaps of ip adresses at the bottom of my page.

What is causing this and how do I fix it?

Fixed it.

Silly me I though filename was the file to watch. I had it set to index.php.
It turned out that this was the file to record the data to...

I just changed the template and reuploaded index.php.

So dont make the same mistake I did, OK?
