site migration

I have developed my site locally and now I'm trying to migrate it to the live server. I'm having real problems though. It looks like there are absolute URLs hardcoded into the site which are always trying to look at my local machine.

Should it be doing this? Are there any answers??

You have to modify config.php after you move the site.  Paths and URLs need updating after a server move.

thanks for that. I did modify the config file but it's still looking for things on the old machine.

Any ideas?

Try clearing the cache in the site preferences.
