How to have a blank date in date-picker in "Form Builder"

How to have a blank date in date-picker in "Form Builder"

Is there a way to choose "blank" as a date in date-picker in Form Builder. I want to have people to choose days of absence for an event, but don't see a way to have them send "blank", as saying, "not absent".
