Album 0.7.4 not working after CMS-update 1.0.2 to 1.0.6

Post by tigercat »

Dear all.

Have CMSMS 1.0.2 running with module Album 0.7.4 working fine. 5 albums online.
Updated CMSMS 1.0.2 to 1.0.6. Now no album is shown any more. Instead I get a complete empty edit screen. See attached image. On my page this error message is shown instead of the album:

Code: Select all

Fatal error: Call to a member function Execute() on a non-object in /var/www/html/web289/html/modules/Album/action.default.php on line 11
What can I do?

Currently I do not tend to update to Album 0.9.x because this is using AJAX technique and is not working very fast on slower machines. 0.7.4 is currently fulfilling all my needs.

Any help is greately appreciated.
Jonas.

Updated to Album 0.8.2. Now the album is running again properly like before. I am happy ;-)
You can see the result on http://jonas1.de/index.php?page=Fotoalbum

Nice photos, unfortunately there seem to be some problems with this Album template which is causing an invalid page. There are also problem with the ThickBoxWithPrev-Next template in version 9.2 (based upon the one you are using - I think) - because I sent Elijah the wrong template - so it is not his fault it is mine. Anyway this template is essentially the same as the one you appear to be using apart from the 'thickbox' element. If you send me your template I should be able to fix it for you. (Make a copy of what you have just in case ;-))

It is more accessible and uses CSS better. It also removes comments from list (on album or photo) if there are none. No spurious 'blah - ' in title or alt.

Still acouple of issues
1. No place for Comment 2 or Comment 3 - not really easy to do with this template.

2. If users enter html for comments it will cause invalid code - but to be exepected and has always been the same. Just be careful if your are using comments - check in HTML view in your editor - there should be no - markup but ony text. Only the first comment is used in ThickBoxWithPrev-Next template
Note: We are putting the comment in the 'title' element of a link and an image which doesn't not allow html. But

Latest ThickBoxWithPrev-Next template attached as txt file
