Difficulty trying to install Form Builder and Form Browser

Help with getting the CMS CORE package up and running. This does not include 3rd party modules, PHP scripts, anything downloaded via module manager or from any external source.

Difficulty trying to install Form Builder and Form Browser

Post by cnymike »

With  CMSMS 1.0.5 and Safe Mode off on my shared server, I'm trying to install Form Builder. Once I upload the Form Builder directory using ftp into the Modules directory (777), I  keep getting this error when I try to "Install" the module in admin...
You need the "Modify Forms" permission to perform that operation.
What exactly does that mean? I've got the Modules directory set to 777 and Safe Mode is off, so I don't know what else I can do to install this.

A related issue is that I am unable to get permissions set properly to install XML versions of modules. Could someone provide the tar.gz or zip version of Form Browser? Thanks in advance.

About the Form Builder permissions: These are set in CMSMS itself.

Go to "Users and Groups" -> Group Permissions.

Select the Admin group (assuming your user is an Admin). Click the box after "Modify Forms." Then "Submit".

Strange thing was that Modify Forms wasn't available as an option.

What I ended up doing was installing over my prevous installation and everything started to work. Must have been some file corruptions or something.
