site gone - 'Smarty error' message

Could someone please inform me why a site i set up with cms made simple now displays this error message?

has something changed with your database access ? Please check config.php about database access parameters.

it seems the site no longer has a database, but some files are still available.

Does this mean i have to redo the site from scratch?

Please check via PHPMyAdmin if there is your database is available (with CMSms content).

If yes then you could try to run install procedure once again. You have only to deactivate writing a new database (step4?).

To do that you must only clear your config.php.
