I'm using the formbuilder module to create a contact form. The module is great, lotsa features, and pretty straight forward. The problem is that it REQUIRES me to input a "'from address' for email" and "'from name' for email" .
My question is why and how do I work around this? The form works well but the emails received (from my contact form) are titled from "whatever name" I enter and from "whatever address" I enter in the formbuilder admin area. This makes it impossibe to reply normally to any email received from the contact form. It seems to me that there would be an option to assign the "from address for email" the value of the email textfield. That way, all emails receive will show who they came from and would make replying much easier as well.
Sorry if this is confusing...it's alittle tough to explain w/o having the actual module to look at.
Thanks

Re: FormBuilder help
I've wondered the same thing.
Perhaps an enhancement request to at least have the sender's email address as the reply to address. I realise that the "actual" sender is the webserver, root, or whatever user is configured in CMSMailer, but surely a "reply to" field could be added to the mail header.

Re: FormBuilder help
Thanks for putting it in simpler terms. I was struggling to clearly explain my problem. That said, is anyone available to "customize" the form builder to use the email address input in my form as the "'from address' for email"? Please PM me if you can make the changes...include fees in your PM.
Thanks!
Thanks!
Re: FormBuilder help
I would rather just make my own form, contact forms are pretty simple, you can find examples pretty easily

Re: FormBuilder help
When choosing the option "Email "From Address" Field" whatever email address the visitor submits is the email address that propagates the "From" field in the email message delivered. So, when you hit "Reply," and email is sent to the person based on the address they provided to you. At least that is how it has worked for me on 3 different sites I've used Form Builder.
